Tour Edge HL3 Driver

When I think of quality golf equipment, I think of Tour Edge Golf.  I have a long history with Tour Edge. They were the 1st set of clubs (Comp LX) I ever owned when I got into golf.  My first ever staff bag was a Tour Edge Staff Bag.

I was invited to the Tour Edge Media Event (Lake Nona Golf & Country Club) at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando Florida. Selected Media from all over the world was invited to this event.  We got to hear from a numerous of vendors releasing NEW innovation for 2018. The Vendors included –

  • ·         Edukaytion -Golf 8.5
  • ·         Lamkin Grips
  • ·         OnCore Golf
  • ·         SuperSpeed Golf
  • ·         And Tour Edge Golf

After listening to the above vendors at the press conferences, we then made our way out to the driving range where we were able to speak to those vendors and other vendors in attendance on the range. Tour Edge presented us with their NEW HL3 Driver. I got the Regular Flex and tried the offset version of the driver on the range, and was impressed with it immediately, and decided I would use it for the round we was about to play.

Tour Edge’s HL3 features a complete lineup from driver to wedge, all designed to fill a niche as the best pound-for-pound technology and performance at a mid-tier price point.

The HL3 driver comes in two different configurations– a straight version and an offset version. Both drivers feature a forged titanium head and Cup Face technology, which increases the amount of face flexing for increased ball speed.

HL3 technology also delivers incredible forgiveness.  Variable Face Thickness technology provides more contact points on the face that provide better off-center hit distance. The Power Channel on the sole behind the club face is designed to deliver amplified ball speed and less spin, as well as added forgiveness on shots struck lower on the face. Additionally, a rear sole weight moves the center of gravity back deeper in the club head to create an easy launch that will fly higher and longer. I did find the ball to fly higher and definitely longer while playing. The HL3 definitely out performed my Nike Vapor Fly driver I have been playing the last couple years. I even had a slight draw on some tee shots. I was not use to seeing that. I feel this driver can help any golfer in the mid to high handicap to hit straighter tee shots, and even gain some distance.

Key HL3 Driver Technology:

• Titanium Cup Face Technology
• Straight and Offset Offerings
• Advanced Face Variable Thickness Technology
• Rear Sole Weight
• Power Channel Technology

The straight HL3 driver comes in a 9.5 and 10.5 degree lofts, while the HL3 Offset driver will be available in 10.5, 12 and 13.5 degree lofts. The 10.5 degree HL3 Offset will be available in left-handed. The stock shaft for both HL3 drivers is a UST Mamiya designed exclusively for the HL3 line. It is available in Ladies, A-flex, Regular and Stiff shafts ranging from 48 to 60 grams.

Both drivers will be available February 1 at an authorized Tour Edge retailer and will feature a cost of $189.99. I highly recommend you trying the HL3 Driver. Comes with the Tour Edge Lifetime Warranty, and a 30 day money back guarantee! To find a Tour Edge retailer near you, call (800) 515-3343 or visit
